THE GOD COMPLEX
New money, new rules, new responsibilities, new haters, new problems or so it seems when you are on top of your game. Doctors often refer to this as a God complex which is an unshakable belief characterized by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege or infallibility. A person with a god complex may refuse to admit the possibility of their error or failure, even in the face of complex or intractable problems of difficult or impossible tasks or may regard their personal opinions as unquestionably correct. The individual may disregard the rules of society and require special consideration or privileges.
The Black Man is God belief may not be shared by all of Americas’ Most Wanted! Pac was a young man dealing with life’s wicked contrast. With great power come great responsibilities to be accountable for not only your actions but your entourage and fans or....................was this the case?

Pac appeared to be living up to his aggressive gangster rap persona with several arrests for violent offenses in the 1990's. In 1994, he spent several days in jail for assaulting director Allen Hughes and was later convicted of sexual assault in another case. Shakur himself fell victim to violence, being shot five times in the lobby of a recording studio during a mugging. The next year, after recovering from his injuries, Shakur was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in the sexual assault case. His third solo album, ‘Me Against the World’ (1995), started out in the number one spot on the album charts. Many critics praised the work, noting that tracks like "Dear Mama" showed a more genuine, reflective side to the rapper. The possibility of an early death runs through several songs on these recordings - something that many have seen as a chilling moment of foretelling his eventual death.
Me Against the World is the third studio album by American hip hop artist Tupac Shakur. It was released March 14, 1995 on the Interscope Records. The album was composed of unused tracks from the Thug Life era, and from other studio sessions from 1993 to 1994. It was his impending prison sentence, troubles with the police and Shakur being poor, which many believe might have contributed to Shakur's artistic re-emergence on record as his material is believed by Steve Huey of AllMusic to have become markedly more "confessional", "reflective", and "soul-baring".
Me Against the World, released while Shakur was imprisoned, made an immediate impact on the charts, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. This made Shakur the first artist to have an album debut at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving time in prison. The album served as one of Shakur's most positively reviewed albums with many calling it the magnum opus of his career and is considered one of the greatest and most influential hip hop albums of all-time. Me Against the World won best rap album at the 1996 Soul Train Music Awards. It achieved double platinum status.
According to Shakur, the album was made to show the hip-hop audience his respect for the art form. Lyrically, Shakur intentionally tried to make the album more personal and reflective than his previous efforts. The album's recording sessions took place at ten different studios while it was mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Although the album was originally released on Interscope, Amaru Entertainment, the label owned by Shakur's mother Afeni Shakur, has released the album twice.
PUFFY BIGGIE TRIANGLE

I have known Sean Puffy Combs since my club days, pre college, pre-Uptown, late 80's, as a dancer trying to get into music videos. Puffy often called me for info on party spots to go to and music video castings. One morning, Puffy hit my phone before 10am to question me about parties later that night. I quickly killed that idea by saying unless you calling me about Benjamin’s, I don't want any calls about anything else this early. I went on to explain nothing but Benjamin’s, mullah & duckets had my interest. I let him know I was about business and had rent to pay and not just partying for no reason & my pep talk set the tone for all future conversations. I was very blunt and grumpy as I had a long night that Puffy apparently heard about so he wanted to get in on the next night festivities.

Puffy had just started college & we would often see each other on subway platforms; him coming from class and me from some girl's college dorm. We had many conversations about the music biz and how to be successful. It was a few weeks before I heard from Puff again; he called to tell me he just got an internship at Uptown records. I was so glad to see his career move in the right direction. One day, I was cast in a Roxanne Shante music video & Puffy showed up late that night and asked me to get him a cameo or solo in it. I told him I didn't have that much pull & that I was only doing the director a favor by pointing out dance groups he wanted to feature in the video. They had been there for hours & were really only extras in a crowd scene with routines. Puffy caught an attitude and stormed out the club. I never forgot his rage or the look on his face and he was never the same again. I always felt guilty like I may have pushed him to take a different route to fame. About a month later, he took over radio promotions when the former person left. Soon after, Puffy begin doing parties in NY & then in DC. As he keep me in his loop, I was always on his guest list. In DC he was doing homecoming parties to the Tunnel in NYC, I always supported Puffy's functions. I did skip the basketball game that caused fire hazard and stampe...............
